Kitchen Installations

Most kitchen problems are not kitchen problems. They are floors that are not level, walls that are not square, waste runs that do not fall, and sockets that end up behind a cabinet. A kitchen fitted onto an unresolved room is a kitchen that never quite closes properly.

We do the whole job — taking the old one out, correcting the room, running the services, and fitting the new one. That includes structural openings if you are opening the kitchen into a dining room or an extension, so there is no gap between the builder and the fitter for problems to fall into.

What this includes

  • Removal and disposal of the existing kitchen
  • Structural openings, steels and knock-throughs where required
  • Floor levelling, screeding and preparation
  • Full electrical first and second fix, including new circuits and certification
  • Plumbing, waste runs, and appliance connections
  • Extraction and ducting to outside air
01

The room before the units

Floors levelled, walls made square and true, and services set out to the plan before a single cabinet goes in.

02

Any supplier

We fit kitchens from any supplier — trade, high street or independent. We are not tied to a brand and take no commission on units.

03

Certified services

Electrical work is tested and certified, and gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Scope of works

What a full job covers.

This is the standard scope. Your written quotation itemises it against your property, so you can see exactly what is priced and what is not.

Programme

How the job runs, stage by stage.

Indicative durations for a typical property. Your quotation carries the dates that apply to yours.

Tiling, plastering, decoration and a joint snagging walk-round before handover.

What drives the price

Why two similar jobs quote differently.

We do not publish fixed prices, because a number without a survey behind it is a guess that somebody has to pay for later. What we can tell you is exactly which variables move the figure.

Bring these to the survey and the quotation will be far more accurate.

  • 01Whether the layout stays the same or services need moving
  • 02Structural work such as removing a wall between kitchen and dining room
  • 03Worktop material — quartz and stone require templating and a second visit
  • 04Condition of the existing floor and whether it needs levelling or replacing
  • 05Number of new electrical circuits and whether the consumer unit needs upgrading
  • 06Extraction route to an outside wall, which is often the awkward part on a flat

Kitchen Installations — questions

What people ask us.

More general questions are answered on the FAQ page.
Can you fit a kitchen I have already bought?
Yes, and most of our kitchen work is exactly that. We will check the plan against the room before you place the order if you want us to — it is much cheaper to correct a plan than a delivery.
How long will I be without a kitchen?
For a like-for-like replacement, usually two to three weeks. Where the layout changes or a wall comes out, three to five. We will set up a temporary sink and worktop where there is space for one.
Do you handle the worktop templating?
Yes. For stone and quartz we coordinate the templater once the cabinets are level and fixed, which is typically a week before the worktop is installed.
