What we do

Eight trades, carried out by the people you hired.

Everything below is done by our own team. We do not act as a main contractor passing work down a chain — which is why the standard of the plastering matches the standard of the brickwork, and why there is one person to speak to about both.

Not sure where your job fits?

Most projects cross two or three of these. Describe what you are trying to achieve and we will tell you what it actually involves — including the parts people usually forget to budget for.

Structural work

Adding space to the property — foundations, steel, roof structure and building control.

House Extensions

Rear, side return, wrap-around and double-storey extensions — from structural calculations to the final decorated finish.

  • Site set-out, excavation and disposal
  • Concrete footings to building-control depth
  • Brick and blockwork, cavity insulation and damp-proof course
  • Steel beams and padstones to structural engineer’s specification

Loft Conversions

Dormer, hip-to-gable, L-shaped and rooflight conversions — the most cost-effective way to add a bedroom and bathroom.

  • Structural survey of the existing roof and floor
  • New floor joists or steel beams sized to engineer’s calculations
  • Dormer construction, hip-to-gable rebuild or rooflight installation
  • Insulation to current building regulations, warm or cold roof build-up

  • Soil, waste and supply pipework, re-routed as required
  • Full tanking and waterproofing of wet areas

Finishing & upkeep

The detail that decides how a finished job is judged — and how well it holds up.

Bespoke Furniture & Joinery

Made-to-measure alcove units, wardrobes, media walls and storage — built for the room rather than adapted to it.

  • Design consultation and measured survey
  • Alcove cabinetry, shelving and bookcases
  • Fitted and walk-in wardrobes, including loft eaves storage
  • Media walls with concealed cable management and ventilation

Painting & Decorating

Interior and exterior decoration where the preparation gets more hours than the paint.

  • Correct primers and undercoats for each substrate

Combined projects

Most jobs are more than one of these.

An extension is rarely just an extension. It is usually groundworks, structure, a kitchen, flooring, decoration and a garden left in a fit state. Pricing them as one project rather than six is what keeps the programme tight and the cost predictable.

Extension + kitchen

The most common combination we take on. One programme means the kitchen is set out against the finished floor level, not guessed from a drawing.

Loft + en-suite

The bathroom is designed around the soil connection and the joist depth before the floor structure goes in, rather than squeezed in afterwards.

Renovation + joinery

Fitted furniture templated after plastering, with power and lighting run for it at first fix.

Refurbishment + decoration

The decorating is priced as a trade in its own right, not as a tidy-up at the end of a build.
