Who we are

What we collect

We only collect what you give us. If you submit the enquiry form on this website, that is:

• Your name, email address and telephone number
• The postcode of the property the work relates to
• The project type, property type, timescale and budget range you select
• Anything you write in the project details field

If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that conversation.

What we do not do

• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website
• We do not run analytics that profile you across other sites
• We do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties for marketing
• We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quotation

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey, prepare a quotation and — if you go ahead — to carry out and invoice the work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have made, and, once work is agreed, performance of our contract with you.

Who else sees it

Enquiries submitted through this website are delivered to our email inbox by our email provider. Our website is hosted by our hosting provider, which processes standard server request logs. Where a project requires it, we may share relevant details with a structural engineer, an approved building control inspector, or a registered gas or electrical engineer — and only the details they need to do that work.

We do not transfer your information outside the UK or EEA for any other purpose.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to work: kept for up to 12 months, then deleted
• Quotations and project records: kept for 6 years after completion, which is the period during which a claim could be brought and the period our accountant requires

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it, where we do not have a legal reason to keep it
• Restrict or object to how we use it

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies for analytics, advertising or profiling. Your browser may store standard technical data required to load the page, which is not used to identify you.

Security

Information submitted through this site is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the members of our team who need it.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page. This notice was last reviewed when the website was published.
